Day 1: HUARAZ – VAQUERIA - PARIA
Breakfast. The car will pick us up to start our journey of 4 hours approx. to the northern side of the Callejón de Huaylas to then take the detour at the city of Yungay to the Huascarán National Park. along the way we can appreciate the beautiful lagoons of Llanganuco and the passage of Portachuelo (4760 meters) from where we have a spectacular view of the highest snowy mountains in Peru: Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Pisco, etc. to reach the starting point of our trek, the village of Vaqueria (3600 m). We will begin our trek from approx 4 hrs with a gently sloping walk to reach our campsite in Paria (3870 m).
Day 2: PARIA – TAULLIPAMPA
We started our day long and hard with a hike of 6 to 7 hrs approx. begin our ascent through trails surrounded by queñuales trees until you reach Punta Unión (4750 meters) from where we have a view of the mountains located in this area: Taulliraju, pariah, Rinrihirka, Pucajirca, etc. We get down to our camp in Taullipampa (4200 m).
Day 3: TAULLIPAMPA – LLAMACORRAL
This day will be long approx. 7 hrs., after the very mild breakfast we will go to the viewpoint of the Alpamayo (4250 m), considered the most beautiful mountain in the world then continue down the Valley visiting lagoons Ichicocha and Hatuncocha and the snow-capped mountains of Caraz, Artensoraju and the Alpamayo to reach our campsite in Llamacorral (3760 m).
Day 4: LLAMACORRAL - CASHAPAMPA - HUARAZ
Started our last day of trek after breakfast, continue the descent along the Gorge to reach the village of Cashapampa (2 900 m), the latter is the more simple approx. 3 hrs. walk where our mobility is waiting for us to go back to the city of Huaraz for approx. 3 hrs.
NOTE: This trek can also start in the opposite direction from Santa Cruz, being the same route and the same camps.
