CEDROS – ALPAMAYO – SANTA CRUZ

Duration: 10 Days / 9 Nights

Day 1: HUARAZ – HUALCAYAN - HUISHCASH
Breakfast very early to move us by bus to the town of Hualcayan, here we will start with the trek of 4 hours approx. reaching our camp at Huishcash.

Day 2: HUISHCASH – OSO RURI
Breakfast very early to move us by bus to the town of Hualcayan, where we will start with the trek of 4 hours approx. we will reach our camp at Huishcash.

Day 3: OSORURI - JANCARURISH
Breakfast, beginning of the trek of 6 hours approx. observe the agricultural terraces and some buildings belonging to the pre-Hispanic cultures (pampa ruin), continuing with the hike through the Gorge Alpamayo will arrive to the camp located in Jancarurish close to the lagoon of the same name and the most beautiful snowy World (Alpamayo).

Day 4: JANCARURISH - HUILLCA
Breakfast, beginning of the 6 to 7 hrs approx. trek. through the pass of Cara Cara (4800) m. Then we descend the whole zone of Moyobamba and Taya Pampa to then descend to the camp located in Huillca.

Day 5: HUILLCA - JANCAPAMPA
Breakfast, beginning of the 6 to 7 hrs approx. trek. Crossing the Yanajanca pass (4 600 m), we descend to the camp located in Jancapampa.

Day 6: JANCAPAMPA – LAG HUECROCOCHA
Breakfast, beginning of the trek of 5 hours approx. Descending then until jancapampa to ascend until carhuacasha to cross the step of Tupatupa (4 400 m), in the journey you will see mountains like Tayapampa and the East side of Pucajirca Taulliraju, the Huecrococha lagoon, finally we will arriving at our campsite.

Day 7: LAG. HUECROCOCHA – TUCTU
Beginning of the trek of approx. 5 hrs, we will ascend until the pass of Alto Pucaraju (4650 m) being able to observe the snowy Chacraraju, Pariah, etc. then we will descend toward our camp in Tuctubamba.

Day 8: TUCTU – TAULLIPAMPA
This day we will walk for approx. 6 hrs. Climbing to the pass punta Unión (4750 m) here we can see the mountains Quitaraju, Taulliraju, etc. then we descend to our camp in Taullipampa.

Day 9: TAULLIPAMPA – LLAMACORRAL
We begin our walk very early to go to the viewpoint of Alpamayo to observe the snowy peaks, Aguja, Caraz, Quitaraju, Artesonraju then we descend to our camp through the lagoons of Ichicocha and Jatuncocha.

Day 10: LLAMACORRAL - CASHAPAMPA - HUARAZ
Breakfast then we go to Santa Cruz for about 3 hrs. then we board the bus to the city of Huaraz.
